I thought it would be a fun idea to look back at past outfits of the year. This is one of the many 2014 posts that I plan to do. So be on the lookout for more recaps of the year 2014! 

Throughout the year I know my style changes. Looking back at last January I can tell I have gotten more preppy. However, I would say my style has changed very similar. From colors, prints, to sparkle its all happened in the year 2014. Here is a journey into the past through a year of outfits.

August Favorites! 

"Better late then never"

August is over! What?! It is literally crazy to think that it is already September. September has already brought so many awesome things and I can't wait for even more! 

But, here are my favorite things from the month of August!

Reuniting with friends: This month I got to reunite with my amazing friends at school. I don't know how I lasted a whole summer without them! But I am so happy to be back at school and back with my amazing friends. 

Recruitment: In the month of August I took part in my first formal recruitment on the other side. It was such a great experience and I got to meet a lot of amazing girls. I am so excited to have new Pi Beta Phi members in our chapter. They are all amazing girls and I can't wait to see them grow in our chapter. 

Living in: This year I will be living in my sorority house. It was quite an adjustment but I love living in a house with some of my best friends. I am never bored because there is always someone to talk to, go get McDonalds with, or go on an adventure with. 

Tennessee: 

Organization is my new middle name! Recently I was sent this wonderful planner from my friends at Geneologie and I have been loving it ever since. This planner has anything and everything you could ever need in a planner. It has a lot of features of a normal planner but it just seems better. The quality is really great and I know it can last me the whole calendar year. My previous planner recently died on me (RIP blue Target planner) and it was perfect timing for this one to come in the mail. 

This planner is from the brand Erin Condren. Her planners are super nice and I would HIGHLY suggest them. I am officially obsessed with mine. I literally write everything and anything in it. Mainly so I can remember to do homework assignments and to attend meetings. With a busy schedule my planner is basically my boyfriend (not really but people don't worry). But it does help me a load with keeping organized and on time with assignments. So if you are a college or high school student I assure you this planner is worth the money. Especially if you are as busy as I am! 

Here is a peek at the set up. They have a page for each month. Then also it breaks down week by week. In the week section is breaks down each day by morning, afternoon, and night. So, you can have your whole day sectioned and organized. 

The planner also has great features like a ruler, stickers, and a pouch in the back to hold whatever you may need. Also, the website lets you customize your planner in a bunch of different ways!

A Year in Review 

2013

The year 2013 was full of ups and downs. I learned a lot about myself, friendships, and growing up. But, there were so many happy and great moments during this year. Here are some of my favorites and a look back of 2013 in my eyes. 

 

Going to the Trend magazine release party! 

November: 

Attending my first house party! Our theme was Family Game Night. 

October: 

My parents came to my University for family weekend. It was nice seeing them after weeks of being away. 

My first Chapter meeting as an official Pi Beta Phi! 

I was so lucky to get to attend Teen Vogue Fashion University for a second year. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much about the industry I love. 

In October I got initiated into my sorority Pi Beta Phi! I couldn't be more excited to be in a sorority with such amazing and smart women. 

Hosted a Rent the Runway event for my internship! 

 

Saw Aaron Carter in concert! Basically re-lived my childhood for a night. (And yes he did sing I Want Candy and it was perfection.) 

Attended an apple orchard sisterhood with my amazing pledge class. 

Attended my first Iowa State football game with the girls on my floor. 

August: 

Returned home to see my old teammates perform. 

My first weekend "out" as a college student! Had such a fun time with some great friends. 

I went through rush which was such a great experience! 

I started a new chapter in my life by moving to college! 

Attended Teen Vogues Back-to-School Saturday in downtown Chicago. (Teen Vogue also liked and commented on my Instagram picture!) And I won a Vera Wang Princess gift package from Teen Vogue. 

July:

I casually stalked five seconds of summer........ (long story but a great day of summer!) 

I went to my 2nd One Direction concert with my two best friends. It was an amazing night and concert. My favorite night of summer for sure! 

I turned 18 on June 19th! 

Went to Disney World on a family vacation. 

May:

I officially graduated Neuqua Valley High School. 

Attended my last day of high school! It's crazy that 4 years have gone so quickly. I am so blessed to have met such great friends and faculty along the way. I owe a lot of things to my High School but I am glad it is over! 

I attended senior prom! 

Senior spectacular at my high school. 

April: 

I hosted two parties for Teen Vogue! 

March:

Attended DECA state! 

Finished off my 4th year of being on my varsity dance team. Not to mention closed the book on my dance career. My team placed fourth at our state dance competition and we won sectional champions. 

February: 

 

Performed at my own senior night basketball game. Also, I performed at my last Variety Show at my high school. It was hard having so many "lasts" in things I had enjoyed for the past 4 years of my life.
