The fall weather was out to play this weekend. Weather in the Chicago area was in the 50s, some days were a little chilly. BUT, we ended up with a perfect fall day at the Arboretum. The Morton Arboretum is honestly the perfect fall destination. More on that to come. For now, I'm sharing my ideal fall outfit.
Sorry, couldn't help but bust out my candy corn Minnie Mouse ears. My friends sister picked these up for me while she was in the parks for Halloween. I just loved the design and wasn't sure when I would actually get to go to the parks during Halloween time. So, s/o to my Disney shopper Kathleen! They are the perfect Halloween design in my eyes. Even though I hate eating candy corn....
As for my outfit this is as fall, and Barbour, as it can get people. First, I'm rocking our most classic jacket the Beadnell. When people ask me what jacket to start with Barbour I always say a classic silhouette like the Beadnell. This beauty will never go out of style, honestly. I'm wearing the olive color, but I also have it in navy! But, olive is classic Barbour. No denying that!
To match my jacket I wore my large Barbour boucle scarf. This thing is so damn soft it is amazing. Plus it's huge and basically could be used as a blanket if you were super cold some where. I wore this scarf to the Ed Sheeran concert outside when it was basically 40 degrees on my head. Yes my head. It wasn't a fashion statement but I was warm and happy so I didn't care. Seeing how there were people there in shorts I felt pretty good about wearing my scarf on my head. Any who, moral of the story this scarf rocks.
I'm not a big fan of itchy wool scarves so this scarf is perf and doesn't feel itchy whatsoever!
Then I finished off the look with a cozy grey Barbour sweater. I love this design because again it's soft. Can you tell I'm into comfort? And it has cute little pockets on the front too.
Where it's from:
Coat: Barbour Beadnell
Scarf: Barbour (comes in multiple colors!)
Sweater: Barbour (similar)
Jeans: Ann Taylor
Boots: Cole Haan via Nordstrom
Ears: Disney Parks (similar)
What's your idea of a perfect autumn afternoon? Let me know in the comments!
XOXO
