Preppy Diaries: Sailor Chic?

Recently, I have had a major obsession with anything preppy, J Crew, or monogramed. Maybe it's the fact I'm in a sorority or the fact that I follow to many preppy people on Instagram. Either way it's happening and I am totally okay with it. 

This outfit was inspired by J Crew/ school girl/ sailor. An interesting combination for sure but I think it came together nicely. 

The Outfit: I wore this sailor inspired dress layered with my favorite white Ralph Lauren button down. I think it was fun to layer the pieces together to create a new look for the otherwise very summery dress. Pairing the look with brown leather boots also added that fall feel. A statement necklace, pearl studs, and a stack of bangles complete the look.

I am OBSESSED with these boots. They are basically my child because I am super careful when I wear them. They are not only very classic and sophisticated but they also have unique touches.
