My friend and I went to the water park today! So, here are my beach bag essentials you could say. I am a very low maintenance girl when it comes to going to the pool and I really don't think there is that much stuff you need to bring. Call me crazy but I only bring a few things and this is what I need:
-Good sunscreen. I am a pale-ie by nature. My skin is super duper fair like I wear the lightest foundation fair. So I use the Target spray which is SPF 50 or 30.
-Cooling gel or aloe. I also have a after sun gel by Mary Kay and it was nice to put on my sun burned parts. Yes even with SPF 50 on I still get burnt. I try not to go in the sun a lot because I don't want to damage my skin. Clearly the sun just hates me and I should become a vampire. I'm not a big Twilight person but I might have to make it work.
-Lip balm. It's always baby lips. That stuff is amazing.
-Normal stuff. Money, keys, ID the stuff I need to pay and get home basically.
-Two beach towels. I bring these for obvious reasons.
My beach bag: My bag is from Betsey Johnson and it has a cute anchor print on it. It's pretty spacious and holds what I need.
Shoes: I usually wear my Havinas flip flops. My Dad brought me back a super cute pair from Brazil and those are my go-to flip flops.
Sunnies: I tend to get more cheaper options for sunglasses. I'm always afraid I wil break them! My recent buy are these yellow ones from Charming Charlie's. But, my favorites are from Urban Outfitters, Aerie, and Dry Goods.
After washing up I decided to put on a casual nautical inspired outfit. This quarter length shirt is super comfy and soft (which is good up against my burnt skin). I paired it with simple denim shorts to complete the look. Also, I paired it with bright yellow accessories and my new Michael Kors handbag and Steve Madden ballet flats.
Where it's from:
Top: J Crew
Shorts: American Eagle
Purse: Michael Kors
Shoes: Steve Madden (from Nordstrom)
Necklace: Charming Charlie's
Earrings: Nordstrom
Bracelet: Marc by Marc Jacobs
