Nordstrom Sale Items to Wear Now

The Nordstrom sale is full of fun loungewear and comfy pieces to wear now. Personally I have been living in my Zella leggings which are sold exclusively at Nordstrom. Throw on a cute sweatshirt and you have yourself a quarantine outfit.

BLACK LEGGINGS | This is my go-to legging brand. Their black leggings are so comfy, thick, and good quality. In my opinion you don't need to spend $100+ on leggings. I splurge on a lot of things but that is not one of them. These are awesome and they are always on sale. I've never paid more then $50 for them!

BAND TEE | Band tees are a huge trend right now. I love these two pastel options. They feel a little more girly which I like for my personal style! Plus they are around $20 which make them a great deal.

TIE DYE SET | How cute is this purple tie dye set? You can shop the shorts here. I am so here for this tie dye trend. I'm obsessed!

BAREFOOT DREAMS CARDIGAN | This brand makes the softest stuff. I wear their cardigan all the time, especially for travel. But would also be great to wear lounging around right now! This style is on sale and looks so comfy.

What has been your go-to quarantine look? Let me know in the comments!

Nordstrom Sale Items to Wear Later

Nordstorm is having a huge sale right now! Tons of items marked down, most at 40% off. Which is amazing. Lot's of great spring pieces are on sale too. Right now I have been living in sweat pants and yoga pants. So, I understand not wanting to wear these pieces right away. But, these pieces would be great to buy now and wear later!

LITTLE WORDS PROJECT BRACELET | I love Little Words Project! Their bracelets are great for stacking and have a great meaning and mission. They have three styles on sale for under $12, and normally they are $20! A great opportunity to buy a few or pick up some for gifts for your girlfriends.

SUPERGA SNEAKERS | There are a few Superga sneaker styles included in the sale. One being a classic solid pair that comes in multiple colors! I recently picked up the plain white pair and I can't wait to wear them. For spring and summer you can't go wrong with a basic pair of white sneakers. Or you could opt for a fun cotton candy tie die pair.

$33 JEANS | I have a different pair of jeans from this brand and they are great! For $33 they are an awesome deal and would be super cute for spring.

KURT GEIGER BAG | I've been eying these bags for a while. Quite a few are on sale and I think they are so cute! From rainbow leather to a straw style you can't go wrong.

BARBOUR QUILTED JACKET | The perfect jacket for your upcoming spring adventures. This is technically a fall Barbour style but I think the pink is perfect for year round. Wear in the spring then pull out for early fall later this year.

Are you shopping the Nordstrom sale? Let me know your picks in the comments!

My Classic Wardrobe Essentials

Everyone has their own unique style. Mine is kind of hard to nail down in a few words. But, I'd have to say I'm mostly classic, colorful, girly, and sometimes trendy! I like to keep things interesting and mix it up. I am always finding inspiration from Instagram, other bloggers, and other random resources to pull from. But, there are a few pieces that I consider tried and true that are stables in my closet.

These are kind of my basics when it comes to my wardrobe. Of course Barbour jackets are included in this. I've included my two favorite basic jackets here. I love this Deveron quilted Barbour jacket. It is a little bit cropped and has a super feminine shape. Its weight is perfect for spring or early fall. Then of course my Barbour Beadnell jacket is a classic. It's Barbour's most basic ladies jacket, and it will never go out of style. If you want to invest in a Barbour this is the jacket! Another outerwear piece I can't live without is a denim jacket. Personally I love J. Crew's denim jacket. I also have denim jackets from Draper James or J. Crew Factory.

Accessories are a huge part of my wardrobe. I love jewelry, shoes, headbands, you name it! I consider them all essentials in my wardrobe. Recently headbands have played a huge role in my style. This pearl basic headband is a go-to of mine. Time after time I always reach for it. Gold jewelry is also a basic item in my wardrobe. I love Miranda Frye and this Monica Vinader bracelet. I wear this bracelet pretty much everyday. My go-to watches are Shinola watches. Mine are older styles but this style is the closest I could find to one of my favorites! Two of my favorite shoes are Cole Haan Zero Grands and Adidas Stan Smith sneakers. These are so easy to throw on and pair with anything. My Zero Grands are my go-to work shoe. They feel like a sneaker but look like an oxford, which is ideal for my job. During the summer I live in my Jack Rogers. This gold pair is a classic and matches legit anything! It was my first pair and I've since bought a second pair because I wore the first so much. My last go-to accessory is my Gucci crossbody bag. I have it in the color shown above and it matches pretty much anything. I love how neutral it is. For me this the perfect size. Fits my phone, wallet, lipstick, lip balm and a hand sanitizer (which is very important right now!).

My clothing wardrobe essentials are pretty simple. I love J. Crew's basic tees. I have them in a ton of colors! But, I wear my white tee the most. It's a great cut and isn't see through. The best of both worlds! Then I love Paige jeans. They fit great and are great quality. I often find them at Nordstrom Rack for a huge discount, so be sure to check your local store! Everyone needs a go-to little black dress. This is mine! I love how it fits, all of the details, and just the vibe of it. I wore it for the first time when I met the Jonas Brothers so it also has great memories attached to it. It has quickly become one of my favorite dresses in my closet.

What are your wardrobe essentials? Let me know in the comments!

New Makeup Finds!

PILLOW TALK LIPSTICK | I love this lipstick! I honestly think it can work for so many skin tones. I had a small version of this and lost it, of course. So, when I saw the 25% off Nordstrom sale going on I knew I wanted to pick up some Charlotte Tilbury products. This was on the top of my list! Paired with the matching lipliner you can create a whole pillow talk look!

FLAWLESS FILTER | I've seen a few bloggers post about this product and I was honestly interested to see the hype. With the 25% off sale I thought it was the perfect opportunity to test it out! I used it today and I have to say I may be obsessed. I can't explain but my skin just looks great! It gives you a nice glow, not a glitter or sheen. It's hard to explain! But, I do think it is worth the investment. Honestly my skin has not looked great recently. So, I was willing to test this out and I love it! I bought shade 1 and it matches my skin great.

AIRBRUSH FLAWLESS FOUNDATION | Paired with the flawless filter this foundation is unstoppable. I prefer a full coverage look, which this foundation gives me. I got shade 1 because I am a pale individual. It is on the pricer side which isn't ideal but I may have to just splurge. Like I've said my skin hasn't been great recently. With this my skin looks great! I will say it did get on my jacket when I accidentally brushed up on my face. But maybe I just put too much on, who knows! Wanted to throw that out there though.

FENTY MASCARA | This mascara has been on repeat for me for about a month. It is dual sided which gives you length and volume. Pretty much the best of both worlds. For sure would recommend if you are looking to mix up your mascara routine. Fair warning this mascara lasts! I always have a difficult time getting it off at night. *I was sent this mascara to review, all opinions are my own*

TATCHA PRIMER | Tatcha is one of my favorite skincare brands. I was sent this new Tatcha primer to review and I have been loving it! I have their original primer which is in solid form, while this is a liquid. It gives me a nice base to then apply makeup too. It is pricey, so that makes me hesitant. But, I will have to see how long the bottle lasts me! But I love how soft it makes my skin and it does lay a great base for the rest of your makeup routine. *I was sent this mascara to review, all opinions are my own*

Sale of the Week: Boxlunch 30% off Select Items!

The sales keep rolling in guys! It's honestly hard to keep track of, and is hurting my wallet. BUT I had to share this great sale from Boxlunch. Boxlunch is one of my favorite sources for pop culture finds. Right now they are running 30% off a ton of pieces. Included a fun tie-dye tee that I am eyeing. It totally reminds me of this three good fairy top I wore to Disneyland, also from Boxlunch!

Below I've linked some of my favorite sale finds from Boxlunch right now. Although we can't go to Disney we can still add some Disney or pop culture magic to our day.

What is your favorite Disney character? Let me know in the comments!

Dose of Disney: Tinkerbell Outfit Inspiration

Tinkerbell bangle | 3/4 sleeve dress | green blouse | white sneakers | Tinkerbell makeup bag

The new Riveria Resort has me feeling so inspired! There are endless possibilities when it comes to photo shoot locations. I am just itching to get to those mosaic walls to snap some photos. Top on my list is the Peter Pan wall at the resort. Naturally I am planning a cute little Tinkerbell outfit for my next trip to shoot there. I picked up the green dress in the upper left hand corner from Target for 20% off! It's even a great deal without a coupon. It is giving me major Tinkerbell vibes.

Pair any green dress or top with cute Peter Pan or Tink accessories. This little fanny pack is marked down on Boxlunch right now. Would complete any Peter Pan inspired look perfectly.

Have you visited the Riveria Resort? Let me know your thoughts!

Sale of the Week: Nordstrom 25% off Site Wide!

Wow guys this Nordstrom sale is bananas. BANANAS! I swear I've never seen some of these brands on sale. Including one that I work for (Barbour if you didn't already know). Right now is the time to shop brands that don't get marked down like Loveshackfancy, Lele Sadoughi, Barbour, MZ Wallace, and more! Right now I think everyone can't even keep up with this sale because legit every brand is included. It is insane! When I got the app notification I thought oh okay the usual brands will be included. But, I was wrong. Everything excluding designer is pretty much included. Obviously this is a super weird time, but with store closures and so on it seems like stores are reacting by having online sales. Take it as you will, but I think it's great stores are adapting to the "new normal" for now.

A few things I wanted to highlight from the sale....

BARBOUR BEADNELL JACKET | This is the classic olive wax jacket from Barbour. When I say this thing never goes on sale.... I mean it. If you've been contemplating investing in one now is the time. This is a jacket that Barbour has year round and never goes out of style. So, this is the perfect time to invest in one!

FLOWERDALE BARBOUR JACKET | This is the same Barbour jacket Kate Middleton has been photographed in, just the spring version! For all my royal fans out there now you can rock the same jacket as Kate, for 25% off.

JACK ROGERS JELLY SANDAL | My go-to beach and pool flip flop is 25% off. I wore these in Hawaii and Mexico the past few years. Would be great for an upcoming vacation (that hopefully will happen) or for summer.

JACK ROGERS CLASSIC SANDAL | Jack Roger's classic sandal is marked down to 25% off. A great time to stock up on this summer staple. They legit match everything in my closet!

SUPERGOOB CREAM EYESHADOW | I wear this cream eyeshadow everyday. The best part it has SPF 30 to protect your eyes from the sun. Great for summer but also perfect for anytime of the year.

LOVESHACKFANCY DRESS | I wore this dress to the Jonas Brother concert in September. I also met them in it, so lots of fond memories! This is a classic dress from them so snag it for 25% off and wear it on repeat this summer.

LELE SADOUGHI HEADBAND | I have this pink velvet headband and I am obsessed!

MY GO-TO PAIR OF EARRINGS | This pair of Lele Sadoughi earrings are a go-to for me! Great for year round and to mix up your basic stud earrings.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY | I picked up a few Charlotte Tilbury makeup items because they never get marked down. They are all currently 25% off!

BAREFOOT DREAMS CARDIGAN | Legit hold the phone... My favorite Barefoot Dreams Cardigan is also included. Another item that never goes on sale! Lots of colors to choose from, all 25% off.

MZ WALLACE | I am debating pulling the trigger on this one guys.... MZ Wallace is included int the sale and their bags never go on sale either! This is madness.

BAREFOOT DREAMS BLANKET | The perfect item for self quarantine is this Barefoot Dreams blanket. I use mine every night!

KENDRA SCOTT HOOPS | I picked up these hoops during the Anniversary Sale and I love them. Come in rose gold, gold, and silver.

Are you shopping this huge Nordstrom sale? Let me know in the comments!

What I've watched recently!

I had this blogpost in my drafts and I couldn't think of a better time to post it! Hopefully this will help you get some ideas of things to watch while you are social distancing.

LOVE IS BLIND | If you haven't heard of this show then you are the queen of social distancing. This show is UNREAL. I have watched my fair share of reality dating TV shows but this one has to be one of the most interesting. Essentially people get engaged with never seeing their partners. It is a wild ride and I got very emotionally invested. I can't really say anything else without spoilers so I'll leave it at that. It is very unrealistic but it is WORTH IT!

THE VOICE | I've never watched the Voice until this season. If you didn't know Nick Jonas is their new judge.... So it's pretty clear my motives for watching. None the less I am actually super into it! The contestants are super talented and I love how the judges interact with each other. Since I've never watched the show before I'm not sure what happens past the auditions. But, I'm excited to find out! And of course root for my boy Nick.

THE BACHELOR | This season of the Bachelor was a HOT FREAKING MESS. But, I finished it because I am a dedicated fan. I have so many thoughts on this season but I will keep those to myself. Either way if you haven't caught up on this season be sure you do. Not to mention Netflix added old seasons of The Bachelor which gives you the perfect excuse to blast to the past. It would be super fun to compare how the show was then to it is now. Back then all we had to worry about were musicians going on the show to boost their career. Those were simpler times.

LOVE ISLAND UK | If you have a lot of time on your hands look no further then Love Island UK on Hulu. I watched last season and the most reason season and I am obsessed. Do I dare say it is better then The Bachelor. yes I do. I know, I went there. It is seriously so so good! Drama but the good kind. Plus you get so invested in these couples. I will be the first to admit I cried multiple times. There are 6 seasons on Hulu so you can really dive deep if you want. Plus each season has 30+ episodes because they air it every day of the week in the UK. So you won't blow through it super quickly, which is a plus right now! Cannot recommend this show enough. Listening to the British slang is reason enough to watch.

SIESTA KEY | Another guilty pleasure show for your viewing. Siesta Key is on MTV and can be viewed online or on demand! I started on season one a few months ago and I've been hooked. Essentially it's like watching the "popular group's" friend drama unfold and I just love that stuff. It's pretty entertaining. Think The Hills but in Florida. I do recommend starting on season one so you can understand the back story for everyone. A lot goes down from season one to the current season so you have to get the background info!

THE CROWN | I hopped off the Crown bandwagon but I am kind of back on. I started watching season 3 casually. For sure not binging like I did the first two seasons, but I'm still kind of into it. If you haven't seen the first two seasons I highly recommend!

TODDLERS AND TIARAS | Yes I know I am trash, but I don't care. Toddlers and Tiaras is solid entertainment. The last two seasons can be found on Hulu! Or you can watch super old seasons on demand or on TLC's website. I've always loved the show so re-watching it was a no brainer. The real question is will we ever get another season?

That's everything I've watched recently! Minus the classic favorites like The Office & Gossip Girl. But, hopefully that helped you get some inspiration on shows to watch this week. What shows are you watching right now? Let me know in the comments!

Dose of Disney: Ink & Paint Outfit Inspiration

star sneakers | star chocker | sorcerer Mickey bracelet | jean shorts | red top

The new ink and paint collection form Disney is honestly so cute. It was the source of inspiration for my next installment of Disney outfit inspiration. I really am into the paint brush ears they came out with. Pair them with a fun red dress, white blouse, or red top for a cute ink & paint look. You could also tie in some Sorcerer Mickey inspiration into this look as he is kind of the center of the collection. I mean this Mickey backpack is so dang cute! Pair it with dainty star jewelry or these super cute star embroidered sneakers for a fun look.

What are your thoughts on the ink & paint collection? Let me know in the comments!

Dose of Disney: Orange Bird Outfit Inspiration

Orange you glad it's spring time? Well things are kind of crazy right now but I'm finding joy in putting together some outfit inspiration for Disney. I just planned a trip for May that I am hoping will still happen. Obviously we have no idea what will be happening then. But, for now I am dreaming of planning Disney outfits. Recently I've been inspired by what is going on in the parks. I thought of creating a cute series of different outfit ideas for Disney during spring.

First up is Orange Bird! He is all over the Flower & Garden festival so I can't help but create a little outfit inspired by him. Or her? Do we know.... Either way, normally I am not an orange person but I saw this little orange dress and I thought it would be perfect for F&G. Pair it with the Orange Bird ears that are available in the parks for an adorable spring look. I found this pair on Ebay for linking purposes, but they are available in the parks!

Or you could opt for a cute orange top, denim shorts, and an easy pair of white sneakers. Whatever orange outfit you create it will be perfect to celebrate F&G in!

Are you an Orange Bird fan? Let me know in the comments!

Charm'd Pop-Up Bar Re-Cap

Another holiday and another fabulous pop-up bar in Chicago. Last year my friend and I headed to the Charm'd bar because we love a good themed holiday. This year I was invited to check out the bar and their holiday offerings.

Location: 3505 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60657

Located in the Wrigleyville neighborhood this spot is perfect for a festive night out with friends. From food, cocktails, or milk shakes it has it all. Per usual everything is themed to perfection! It makes for such a fun night out.

For cocktails we had some rose wine as well as this Moscow mule. With an adorable Irish flag this drink makes the perfect accessory for your Friday night Instagram post. I am a sucker for a good Moscow mule. But, they have a ton of other fun options that again are Insta-worthy. Plus they have different sizes so you can either grab your own, share with a friend, or order one for the entire group.

The decorations this year were on point. Whether it be indoors our outdoors no detail was too small for this team! I seriously give major props to whoever decorates this place because it is insane!!

I wore these super festive clover earrings to get in the St. Patricks Day spirit. These earrings are a great piece to add to your St. Patty's day outfit as they are such a great deal! Plus they are subtle but still festive.

Food wise we tried the sampler appetizer and the sliders. The sliders here are unreal guys. I've had them at the Christmas pop-up and I had them again. They are THE BEST! If you get any food get the sliders. Enough said.

Be sure to check out the Charm'd Bar while it lasts! Are you a St. Patrick's Day fan? Let me know in the comments.

St. Patrick's Day Outfit Ideas

It's your lucky day! Today I am sharing some fun outfit inspiration for any St. Patrick's Day gathering. Obviously you have to sport some sort of green to adhere to the St. Patrick's Day theme. Also, it's best to wear green if you don't want to get pinched. To be honest I always hated that rule, and I'm Irish!

A year or so ago I went downtown Chicago to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and rocked my Barbour Beadnell jacket. It was the perfect piece for a cooler St. Patty's day. Especially if you plan on watching a parade outside or walking around.

If you are opting for a more casual affair a fun graphic tee is always an easy option. I love this PJ set and you could easily wear the sweatshirt with a pair of jeans or a cute skirt. Also, you can't resist a Leprechaun Mickey. Also have to point out these adorable earrings. I bought these from Target and they are under $7! A perfect affordable way to spruce up any outfit for St. Patrick's Day.

Another route you could go is sporting some rainbow or gold. This rainbow button down blouse is uber chic and you could easily wear again all spring and summer. I am seriously considering picking it up!

Do you have any big plans for St. Patrick's Day? Let me know in the comments!

Sale of the Week: Shopbop

This week's sale of the week is Shopbop! Pretty much every blogger in their brother has posted about this sale. But, I wanted to round up a few cute pieces I found. Most of these are under $200 also! With the code SPRING you can get up to 25% off, but you get 15% off $200 or more. Which let's be honest is probably the price bracket I belong in.

BUT, my favorite Loveshackfancy dress is included in the sale. It comes in white or black and is an amazing investment piece. I wore it to the Jonas Brother concert back in September and I wore it when I met them. Let's just say it is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. I am counting down the days until it is warm enough to wear it again. Plus this dress is kind of a staple for the brand, so it isn't going to be out of style next season.

Stoney Clover Lane products are also included in this sale.... I know! This stuff never goes on sale people. My go-to travel tote bag is included in the sale in this pale tan color. You can always buy the patches separately and customize it yourself. Other SCL products are also on sale so this is a good time to stock up on pieces they have in stock.

Another favorite brand of mine Lele Sadoughi is included. I am eyeing this gorgeous rhinestone headband. It is perfect for spring! My go-to headband of the season is available. It's the perfect brown faux leather headband, it matched so many of my winter and fall looks. Another Lele Sadoughi headband I own in the sale is this gorgeous blue velvet rhinestone headband. This headband I think is perfect for dressier looks or for a special occasion! Not included in the sale, but my Loveshackfancy x Lele Sadoughi headband is marked down too!

I have been dying for some Tretorn sneakers and they are also included in the sale! This gingham pair is so so cute. They would be darling for spring casual looks.

Straw belts seem to be a major trend, I love this braided option from Loveshackfancy

That's a wrap for my picks for the Shopbop sale! If you've been eyeing higher end pieces that don't go on sale normally this is a good time to shop.

Weekly Picks vol. 6

Little Words Project bracelet | SPF powder sunscreen | luggage tag | v-neck top

It's been a minute friends, but I am back with my weekly picks! These picks are pretty random. But, I am feeling this purple theme so there you go.

First up J. Crew Factory is having 70% off clearance! That is insane. This pretty purple v-neck top is an insanely good price. Then this pair of fun statement earrings would be a perfect budget way to spice up your jewelry game. I suggest checking out the J. Crew Factory clearance section to score some good deals.

Next up, my mind is on my Vegas vacation that is coming up in April. My go-to warm weather product is this Super Goop powder sunscreen. I am a major sunscreen person. Protecting your skin is so so important. I would so rather be pale and healthy than run the risk of skin damage. Protect your skin people! This product is easy to use and helps protect your skin. Then I am eyeing this new swimsuit from Aerie. They have some really cute new styles. Aerie is my go-to place for swimsuits. I always score them on sale and they are super flattering. Their one-pieces are the best!

A fun travel essential I have been loving is my Stoney Clover Lane luggage tag. I have this exact color and patch combo and it is gorgeous. Whether you have a Stoney Clover bag or not you need this luggage tag in your life. They make any bag that much cuter!

Last up is my go-to bracelet for stacking Little Words Project. I love stacking these with gold filled bracelets for a fun layered look. Plus you can customize them or buy pre-made words on them.

There you have it! Those are my weekly picks for the week. What products are you loving recently?
