I don't think Edinburgh could have gotten more charming. This adorable little city took my heart while we visited for two days in May. From gorgeous blooms, historic streets, beautiful buildings, and of course amazing food. What's not to love?
In today's post I'm sharing a fun look I wore for a day exploring the city of Edinburgh. Before I left for my trip I received my Gal Meets Glam dress in the main and immediately wanted to wear it! Naturally I found a way to wear it on this trip.
The dress is actually extremely comfortable! It's a midi length (on me at least) and is a lightweight chambray fabric. This dress would be ideal for any summer getaway. Plus the length makes it easy to travel in because you know you've got coverage everywhere.
The fabric has soft little polka dots which gives it a charming feel. Large buttons go down the center of the dress, but no worries they are just for decorative reasons. With a defined waistband it gives you a great shape as well! Unlike some midi dresses I feel like this dress really worked on my petite frame and height. So if you are on the shorter side I would recommend this dress!
It was a tad chilly during our day so I opted for my trusty dusty pink Barbour lightweight jacket. This jacket is my go-to lightweight jacket for spring and summer. Plus, the color is perfection. If you follow me on Instagram you know I'm going for the pink theme hard. Which this compliments perfectly.
In the accessories department we kept things super classic and simple. Pearl studs and a fun pearl chocker complete the look. Plus my everyday Hermes bangle of course!
To keep things casual, and most importantly comfortable, I wore my favorite Adidas Stan Smith sneakers. These things are so comfortable, one of the most comfortable sneakers I own. I wore them all through Disney then brought them over the U.K. as well. They are great for travel because they match basically anything! Plus I love pairing them with skirts and dresses. So cute!
