Dose of Disney: Toy Story Land Style Inspo

cloud pin | cloud patch | Pizza Planet claw tee

The opening of Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World, and the announcement on Pixar Fest has been giving me MAJOR Pixar style inspo. Today I am rounding up some amazing pieces that would be perfect for a trip to the new Toy Story Land or Pixar Fest in the upcoming months. I've always loved Toy Story, let's face it I am a true 90's kid. I love anything to do with Pizza Planet, the little green aliens, or Buzz & Woody. All of these pieces are super fun and could amp up your Toy Story style just in time to ride the new rides and to take tons of pics with I'm sure the new and amazing photo spots to come.

I love this Alien monogram tee from Pretty Little Monograms. Sadly, she has sold out of these, but follow her page in case she re-stocks it! I'm wearing this tee and Lilly short combo to Hollywood Studios for my upcoming trip!

There are tons of different Pizza Planet tees in this guide! I have the shirt in the bottom left corner. I picked it up from Box Lunch, but now it is available at Target for super cheap! The other shirts are also fun ways to incorporate Disney style. If you're looking for a BFF coordinating look check out Lost Bro's Rangers and Cowboys jerseys! I'm wearing the Cowboy jersey for my upcoming trip! Check out the picture below to see how I'm styling it...

There are so many ways to style these tees to make them your own unique style! I chose to pair this Woody inspired tee with Lilly skort for a preppy look. But, you could pair it with a fun suede mini skirt, high waisted denim shorts, or even tied over a dress for a completely different look. I also love the fun little Pizza Planet mini dress that is at Hot Topic! So fun.

If you're looking for a more subtle Toy Story inspired look, try out Jambo Joe's Magicgram cloud pin or his cloud patch. Pop these onto a bag, denim jacket or bottoms, or wherever you please! I love Jambo Joe's Magicgram pins and I own this cloud one myself! Other fun accessories include a fun Alien Mickey ear hat or a "To Infinity and Beyond" inspired dainty necklace. I'm also loving these Vans inspired sneakers. I luckily snagged a pair of Toy Story Vans from Nordstrom Rack before my last trip. They are super comfortable and great for the parks!

Are you planning a trip to Pixar Fest or to see the new Toy Story Land this summer??? Let me know in the comments!

Hawaii Wish List

Aloha! I'm super excited to say I am officially going to Hawaii at the end of September into October. The plane ticket and hotel is booked and I can see paradise in the distance... well a few months away at least. My family and I have been talking about taking this trip for so long! It is my parent's 30th wedding anniversary and to celebrate we are heading to Hawaii. My parents went there on their honeymoon so it's kind of a throwback to that! Plus we just really wanted to go.

The best part? We are staying at the Disney Resort Aulani in a Disney Vacation club villa. So, not only will we be in paradise, we'll be in Disney paradise. I've heard so so much about this resort and I can't wait to explore and see everything. It looks absolutely breathtaking. Plus, the merch is so kawaii and I am READY for it.

Since I am a psycho I am already planning my outfits. If you personally knew me this would not surprise you one bit. I LIVE for planning outfits and planning vacations. So, right now I am living my best life. I already starting mapping out my outfits for each day while I'm in Hawaii. Fair warning... it's gonna be a lot of Lilly because Lilly in Hawaii seems like the perfect combo.

I thought it would be fun to highlight some fun things on my Hawaii wishlist. I'm currently trying not to spend money (it's hard) to save for shopping on my upcoming Disney trip, my trip to the U.K. in May and Hawaii of course! But, let's be honest I'll probably end up picking up a few of these pieces for my trip!

To highlight a few things, first things first, Bando has created the most beautiful collection inspired by a trip to Hawaii. UM how perfect?! I'm loving these fun sunglasses, this rainbow travel pillow, and my dream product a vacation planner. Perfection. Also, I'm currently crushing on these two Jack Rogers slides. I feel like slides are all the rage but I can't get behind any I see. But, Jack Rogers does them in a preppy classic way, which I'm into. I've already picked up a few swimsuits for this trip, but I've been eyeing this Lilly suit and now this palm suit from Aerie. The suits I picked up already are from Aerie as well. I love their swimsuits. They are my favorite! Lastly, I just loved this fun stripe dress from ASOS. They have a ton of fun pieces that would be perfect for a vacation.

Have you been to Hawaii, specifically near Honolulu? Let me know what are can't miss things!

Dose of Disney: My tips and tricks for the Flower and Garden Festival

Eat a real meal beforehand | Our first time at the Flower & Garden festival we made a major mistake by only eating Flower & Garden food..... we were all so cranky because we had been hungry for so long, and it took forever to feel full just by eating small bites and sharing small plates. The second day we spent at the festival we ate a smaller lunch then just had snacks or treats from the festival stands. Honestly, I think this is the way to go. This way you at least ate a little lunch or some sort of meal before you go and sample. Whether that is a small sandwich or salad or something, now you won't be starving while trying your Flower & Garden dishes! Plus there is nothing worse then being hangry. My family hangry is NOT a good situation let me tell you.

Split dishes with friends | If you go with friends or family share your plates! When we went we split almost everything and just had little tastes of things. A. This saves money because these dishes aren't exactly "cheap". I'd say the average price is $6-8 per dish and they aren't huge! B. It gives you the opportunity to try way more things! If you really like something you can always go and get round 2!

Pace yourself | Pace yourself between stands. Go to rides and attractions in between so you don't get to full. All the power to you if you can power through it back to back, but I get full!

Look at the Flower & Garden passport beforehand | Decide what your must-try items are. Find their locations and plan your food accordingly. We usually start in Canada and make our way around the countries. Obviously you can do it your normal way, but you can plan your stops based on your normal Epcot route!

What are your tips and tricks to Flower & Garden Festival? Let me know in the comments below!

Dose of Disney: Flower and Garden Festival Food Review

I ate a bunch of food and drinks from the Flower and Garden Festival when I went last year in 2017. A lot of the same food is back for this years festival! So, I thought I'd give my reviews on everything I ate last year as a guide for anyone heading to Flower & Garden this year...

Frushi | location Japan at Hanami | I normally don't eat sushi. But, fruit sushi is something I can get behind! Fruit is one of my favorite types of food so I was so excited to try this! It has pineapple, cantaloupe, and strawberries wrapped in rice. This treat was super tasty and sweet. If you like fruit I totally recommend you trying frushi! Plus this is one of the most hyped treats at the festival, because it is so pretty and perfect for photos!

Berry Buckle | location The Berry Basket | Holy yum! This dessert was also delicious. It was a berry crumble like dessert with a scoop of pepper berry gelato. It was so refreshing but decedent at the same time. I was worried about the pepper berry gelato at first, but it proved to be very tasty.

La Vie En Rose | location France Fleur de Lys | My favorite drink of the Flower & Garden Festival was for sure the La Vie En Rose in France. It is an alcoholic slush with vodka, cranberry juice, and a few other juices. I can't describe the taste but it is oh so good!!! Also, this drink is so pretty and perfect for photo ops, I know I'm all about the photo. But, this drink is to pretty not to snap a few pictures.

Chocolat Rasberry macaron | location France | Again, another great dessert. Who doesn't love a macaron? This was a giant macaron perfect to split with friends or family! It looks like this year they have a chocolate macaron lollipop, which I'm sure will be just as good. The dessert area in France has other macaron flavors if you're looking for something more specific!

Cider | location U.K. at the Cider House | At the U.K. pavilion we opted for the cider flight which featured 3 ciders. Ciders are one of my favorite alcoholic beverages, I enjoyed all of the ciders in the flight! I am not sure if it is the exact same ciders for 2018, but I'm sure they are still fabulous.

House-made Potato and Cheddar Cheese Biscuit with Smoked Salmon Tartare | Location U.K. at the Cider House | This is basically half a review, because I don't eat salmon, but the biscuit was very tasty! I love a good cheddar biscuit and this one was mighty tasty. I had a little taste of my brother's dish but I know he enjoyed it!

Violet Lemonade | location Pineapple Promenade | The STAR of Flower & Garden Festival the famous Violet Lemonade. I cannot describe this stuff, but it is so darn good. Perfectly purple and amazing this frozen drink is so refreshing! It's a must try.

Strawberry Tiramisu | location Italy | They did not bring this treat back for 2018, but it was pretty tasty! Now there is a different dessert in the Italy Primavera Kitchen that I might have to try out.

What are your favorite things to eat at Flower & Garden Festival? Let me know in the comments below!

Dose of Disney: What I'm wearing on my Disney trip!

Hello friends! On today's Dose of Disney post I'm sharing all of the details for what I'm planning to wear at Disney. I'm still waiting on some pieces, but this is the bulk of my outfits I'm bringing to the parks for my week long girl's trip with my mom. I thought it would be fun to give you a peek as to what I am bringing, and give you as many outfit details as possible. Some of the pieces are a few months old or were limited releases. So, they aren't all available to purchase. But, I linked items that are similar or the website they are from!

I am so excited for these two looks! I am a crazy person and am planning outfit changes while at the parks. Obviously that is not necessary, but for picture wise I want to get a ton of cute pictures to use for Instagram and blogposts. These outfits are super simple to re-create. Jadelynn Brooke has a ton of cute Disney inspired tees and they are so comfy. I love all of the bright colors they use, plus they are subtle but still super fun! I'm pairing both of these tees with simple white chino shorts with a pair of fun ears. These Sleeping Beauty Ears from Aloha Ear Design are so cute. The best part is they glow in the dark!

Where it's from:
Princess pink tee | Jadelynn Brooke (similar)
My Happy Place tee | Jadelynn Brooke (other color)
Shorts | J. Crew
Sleeping Beauty ears | Aloha Ear Design
Denim ears | Shop House of Mouse
Bracelets | Alex and Ani & Pandora

One day of the trip at Magic Kingdom I'm going full blown Beauty & the Beast theme! We always go to Be Our Guest for lunch so I'm planning on wearing these looks that day. Beauty & the Beast is one of my favorite movies, so I have a ton of fun pieces inspired by the film. Pairing a fun tee with a more dressy short is a fun way to create a cool Disney style of your own!

Where it's from:
Beast jersey tee | Lost Bros.
Seersucker shorts | Lauren James
Beauty & the Beast ears | Aloha Ear Design (similar pair)
Tale as old as Time tee | The Mainstreet Press
Floral shorts | J. Crew

Another day at Magic Kingdom I am going Pixar crazy. My Monsters Inc. inspired look is probably the one I am most excited for. Monsters Inc. is BY FAR my favorite movie. So I am going a little cray withe the Mike Wazowski styling, but no shame. Then my other look is inspired by Woody! I love how this tee matches this Lilly skort.

Where it's from:
Monsters jersey tee | Lost Bros.
Monsters Inc. baseball jersey | Walt's Wardrobe
White shorts | J. Crew
Cowboys jersey tee | Lost Bros.
Floral skort | Lilly Pulitzer
Diamond Ears | Wicked Ears

The Three Caballeros is my family's favorite ride, so when I saw this Walt's Wardrobe tee from a while back the whole fam needed them. I'm wearing it solo on this trip, but it will be making an appearance when we go as a whole family a year from now. The striped shorts give me major Donald vibes, so it is perfect for Three Caballeros! I'm planning on wearing this to Epcot to get pictures in front of my fav ride.

Where it's from:
Three Caballeros tee | Walt's Wardrobe
Shorts | J. Crew
Epcot ears | Aloha Ear Design  (Grand + Miraculous set)

Oooooooooh! I love the aliens from Toy Story, so when I saw this adorable tee I had to pick it up. Pairing the tee with fun purple Lilly shorts gives it a preppy feel. To top of the look I'm wearing my fun diamond ears that sparkle like no other. This will be the perfect look for Hollywood Studios! We are missing the Toy Story Land opening, but I am kind of okay with it because that place is going to be bananas when that goes down.

Where it's from:
Shorts | Lilly Pulitzer
Diamond ears | Wicked Ears

Ciao from my favorite Tokyo Disney character Gelatoni! This tee is inspired by the little painter cat that is very well known in Tokyo Disney. I love the pastel colors paired with this seersucker skort.

Where it's from:
Skort | Lilly Pulitzer
Ears | Disney Parks

All of the Animal Kingdom vibes with these two looks! I plan on wearing the jersey over the safari inspired tank and then taking it off later in the day for an easy outfit change. I'm a 90s baby so when I saw the Pocahontas jersey with 95' on the back I was obsessed. Plus Meeko is the cutest little sidekick ever. Then of course you need a little cheetah print while at Animal Kingdom!

Where it's from:
Cheetah Minnie monogram tank | Pretty Little Monograms (similar)
Shorts | Topshop
Cheetah ears | Floofy Arts
Pocahontas jersey | Box Lunch
Black skirt | American Apparel
Crotchet ears | The Mad Hatear
Rose bag | Danielle Nicole

The final outfit I am sharing is this very Mickey look! I got this skirt from Cath Kidston a while back and shared it in a Rock the Dots style post. But, I am planning to wear it to the parks as well. Paired with this fun Mickey tee it's gonna be a super classic Disney style look.

Where it's from:
Mickey tee | Once Upon Apparel
Skirt | Cath Kidston
Mickey ears | Floofy Arts (similar pair)

There are a few other items and outfits I am bringing for Flower & Garden, but I am still waiting on some of it! So, I guess those will just have to be surprises! But, to give you an idea... below are some links to what else I am bringing to Disney. I always bring sweatshirts because it gets chilly at night. Also, you should always bring some sort of rain gear to be prepared for any showers that may happen in the parks.

Other things I'm wearing....
Floral Drink Around the World tee | Lost Bros
Minnie monogramed pop-over | Pretty Little Monograms
Violet lemonade monogramed tee | Pretty Little Monograms
Flower & Garden floral monogramed pop-over | Pretty Little Monograms
Flower & Garden lavender rain jacket | Pretty Little Monograms

Which outfit is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! Be sure to check back after my trip to see all of these looks in action!

Post Grad Girl: What you actually need to bring on college spring break

It's that time of year again... time for spring break! In college it seems like almost everyone has that one spring break that is an insane, let's be honest, drunken adventure. But, what no one tells you is what you actually should bring on these trips. My sophomore year of college I went to Gulf Shores, Alabama for spring break with a big group of people. Let's learn from my and others mistakes and pack the right things! Today, I'm going to tell you what you should pack and what you should leave at home.

What to bring
1. Swimsuits | Swimsuits are obviously a staple when going to the beach for spring break. I recommend bringing one swimsuit set or one piece per day you are planning on being at the beach. I know what you're thinking, that's a lot of damn swimsuits. But, trust me after walking around the beach all day or at a party you aren't going to want to put that swimsuit on again later in the trip. If you don't have enough swimsuits don't sweat it, bring mix and match tops so you can at least feel a little refreshed each day with a new swimsuit look. Also disclosure: your swimsuits might get ruined. I'd leave the $100+ swimsuits at home. Stick with Target or Aerie swimsuits, you can still be cute without bringing the $90 Triangle top. If your swimsuit doesn't get ruined, it also might get stolen. It's gross to think that someone would take your swimsuit (like ew no), but things tend to go missing wether someone took them or not when you're staying with a big group of girls. Moral of the story is bring lots of affordable swimsuits that if they get ruined it won't be the end of the earth.

2. T-shirt and track shorts | Let's be honest here for a second, you are probably going to be a hot mess express on your spring break. It's fine, it happens to the best of us. Keep your super cute outfits to a minimum and be sure to bring some tees and track shorts or other casual clothes. Also, be sure to grab at least one sweatshirt. When I was in golf shores it was warm, but got chilly at night. You're gonna wanna bring a least a little something in case it gets cold.

3. Normal clothes | Although you should bring casual clothes, be sure to bring some real clothes too. I don't know about you but I hate staying in a swimsuit all day long. Bring a few pairs of shorts and cute tops for later in the evening when you might go to dinner or a party.

4. Flip flops & Sneakers | Bring at least one pair of flip flops and one pair of sneakers. There is broken glass everywhere in places like this. Wearing shoes is important for safety reasons and because you should just wear shoes it's a simple concept here people. Some people went on bike rides or walked around and sneakers would come in handy for that. If you're trying to be fancy you could even bring sneakers to run on the beach or something. Not speaking from personal experience, but it sounds like it would be a good idea. #fitness

5. Aloe & Sunscreen | I CANNOT stress this ENOUGH! You or someone you know WILL get sunburned. I try and avoid getting sun burned at all costs by using high SPF sunscreen. I am a very pale person and I burn easily so I always have Aloe Vera with me. But, other people, not so much. I was slathering aloe onto friends after they got fried under the sun. Just because you tan doesn't mean you shouldn't bring aloe or wear sunscreen. So please play it safe and apply sunscreen each morning and come prepared with aloe in case you do get burned.

6. Extra phone chargers | Bring extra chargers for your devices if possible. Again, staying in a house full of girls stuff is going to go missing or misplaced. Better be safe then sorry! Walking around with a dead phone is not a good idea... people will get lost to begin with and you don't want to add a dead phone into that equation. Portable chargers are also a good idea to keep on hand!

What NOT to bring
1. Valuables | You are probably thinking no sh**t don't bring valuables. But, my inner mom is screaming inside DON'T BRING THEM! I get paranoid about stuff like this but, it is better to be safe then sorry here people.

2. Electronics | Leave the laptops and nice cameras at home ladies, you won't use them. I think there was one person on my trip that actually pulled out a laptop and did homework. Don't take it with and just leave it at home. I have a vision of someone's laptop falling into a pool somewhere and it gives me major anxiety, so don't let that dream become a reality.

3. Expensive jewelry | I wear nice jewelry on a daily basis, but on spring break I didn't wear anything. Just leave all of that stuff at home. The last thing you want is your favorite necklace to fall off on the beach or get lost in a pool. Play it safe and just leave it at home.

4. Designer purses | You'll think you will use a purse, but I'm telling you now you will not. Don't have your nice Louis or Kate Spade sitting at your hotel or in your house. Stick with a fanny pack (I know #fashion) or a beach bag to carry your things. If you are going somewhere less ratchet then Gulf Shores and you have a safe in your hotel... maybe you could bring it. But, I still wouldn't recommend it!

Wow, hopefully I didn't sound like to big of a mom, but this is what you need to hear ladies. To summarize: bring aloe, sunscreen, and the necessities. Don't bring unnecessary fancy things if you are going on a ratchet spring break.

Hopefully this will help any first-timer spring breakers. The most important thing to remember is STAY SAFE! Stick with your friends, keep your phone charged, and don't stay out in the sun too long. Be smart and trust your instinct.

Have spring break questions? Leave them in the comments!
