Sew Cute Abroad: Castle Series pt. 1

While my parents were in town we saw three of the Royal Palaces in and outside of London. In my Castle Series I will take you inside some of these palaces and show you what I saw and give a review/ my thoughts on each of the castles! The first castle we visited was the Kensington Palace which was right in London. The Kensington Palace is the palace that Princess Diana lived back when she was Princess of Whales. So, it was cool to see this castle and the decorations and interiors behind it.

The main thing I was interested in was the fashion exhibit that featured royal figures dresses from the 50's-80's. I recently did a paper on British royal fashion so this exhibit was right up my alley. I'm not sure if this is a permanent exhibit or not. But, I thought it was great! Here are some photos from the fashion exhibit!

These two dresses were my favorite! The blue floral gown had adorable pink bows in the back while this creme satin gown had incredible beading and details.

There was a whole room dedicated to Princess Diana's dresses which was amazing to see. She is such a fashion icon so to see her famous dresses in person was very cool!

The lighting in the castle was not the greatest. But, I managed to snap a few pictures of what was inside. The interiors of this castle were not nearly as grand as the other palaces we visited later in the week. I think overall, this castle was my least favorite. If you are trying to decided between going to another castle I talk about in the series I would skip this one! Although I enjoyed the fashion exhibit the house itself isn't the most grand palace belonging to the royal family. So, I don't believe it's a must see.

What is your favorite dress from my post? Let me know in the comments!
