Most people on NYE say they will change a lot in the coming year. However, I don't think I want to change. This past year I have accomplished so much and have been focused on things that really matter. I am in such a good place in my life and I don't want to change! 2014 was a great year and I learned a lot. So, I made a list of a few things that I learned this past year that I want to continue in 2015......
Let go of people who don't deserve your time: Sometimes people aren't worth it. That is just the truth. In 2014 I learned this the hard way. Now, I know when it is necessary to end relationships and move on. I think this is a good quality that I have learned. There is no point dwelling on people who will never change or who treat you poorly. In 2015 I hope to continue this philosophy because overall I have been a happier person because of it.
Taking chances: In 2014 I applied for a lot of things and I ended up gaining a lot of great positions on campus. If I hadn't taken the chance and aimed high I wouldn't be where I am today. In 2015 I hope to keep challenging myself to be better and accomplish my goals.
Staying focused: Constantly I am focusing on my end goal which is to get a job in the fashion industry. Throughout this past year I have taken on multiple opportunities to help me get closer to my goal. This next year I hope to continue taking steps to reach my goal. In 2014 I gained many leadership positions in fashion organizations on campus also I completed my first internship. I can only hope 2015 brings more great opportunities and another great internship!
Those are just a few things that I learned in 2014 that I hope to carry on in 2015. So here is to 2015 and staying on the same path I am now.
Cheers!
XOXO
Miranda
