Marley Lilly Flash Sale Picks!

Marley Lilly Flash Sale
So, its that time again! Marley Lilly is my go-to place for monograms! Basically everything I have that is monogram is from them. I am always pleased with what I order from there. Right now they are having a flash sale and here are a few of my favorite picks. They almost have one of these every week so don't worry if you miss out because there will be another one super soon!

Top Pick:
I am literally obsessed with this necklace! I plan on getting it with my twitter name but you can also get your monogram or your full name on it! Its super cute and would make a great gift for a social media junky. Baublebar has a similar style but this one is super cheap right now so snatch it up while you can.

Preppy Diaries: Preppy Professional

Preppy and Polished
For this outfit I needed something professional because of my internship. So, I paired this printed silk blouse with this fun skirt. I am actually kind of obsessed with this look. I love the all black and white color scheme. But with the pattern shirt it gives it a little more interest. I kept the accessories simple with just a black statement necklace and my usual bracelets and watch. Also, I am IN LOVE with these Kate Spade heels. They are surprisingly super comfortable. Not to mention the bow detail is adorable. Overall, I am loving this professional girly look. Who knew dressing up for work could be so fun!

I added a slight pop of color with a fun coral lipstick and gloss.

Preppy Diaries: Another Chino Look

Flower Power
This is my version of a lazy day ootd. I simply just threw on a pair of chino shorts and a flower tee. Chino shorts are my go-to summer piece. Check out my post all about them here! The purple color in my shorts is in my tee in a very subtle way so it all kind of comes together. For accessories I kept things super simple and just wore studs, bangles, and a watch. Then my sandals are just my gold Jack Rogers.

Love this combination of jewelry! My purple stone Alex and Ani comes in handy whenever I wear purple.

I literally wear these shoes everyday! They go with everything I own.

Summer Style: Cool Backpacks

Not just for school!
There have been super cute backpacks EVERYWHERE it seems! Designers are stepping up their backpack game I guess. But these super stylish bags are great for other things besides school. Some are dual purpose, changeable, and just straight up cute. These stylish backpacks are great for walking around on a summer day, going to the beach, or holding your essentials to you summer job or internship. Here are some of my personal favorites I have seen!

{There is a backpack for every style! From girly, preppy, to edgy a sac is available for every girl this summer.}

Sparklers, Fun, and Flags: Fourth of July outfit ideas

The Fourth of July is right around the corner! The month of June literally flew by. But now it is time to figure out what you are gonna wear for the big festivities. Determining your red, white, and blue ensemble kind of depends on what you will be doing on the fourth. Will you be at a classy affair, sitting on the grass watching fireworks, or in and out of the pool all day?

Well, I created three looks that are perfect for any activities you could be doing on the Fourth of July! There is a dressy, casual, and super casual look you can be inspired by.

Dressy: Lets say you are going to a more fancy place for the fourth. Maybe you are going to a nice restaurant, out on a nice boat, I can't think of anything else but maybe you just want to dress up! Well, here is the outfit for you! (I am actually kind of obsessed with this outfit.) I paired a fun pair of navy pom pom shorts with a simple white scallop tank. To add a pop of red to the look I added a bold Baublebar necklace. I love the layered look that this necklace gives. For accessories I chose a bright red leather bag with a neutral espadrille. Altogether it creates a very chic, preppy, and girly Fourth of July look.

Semi-Casual: I know for my Fourth of July I will probably be wondering around my friends town, watching fireworks, and other things of that nature. So, I want something comfy but also super cute. This would be my ideal look for the Fourth of July. I paired a fun pair of scalloped shorts with a simple white tee. Incorporating white into your outfit, I think, is super important! Mainly because you will be out in the hot sun and a white shirt will keep you cooler then a blue or red shirt. For shoes I paired them with these super fun Jack Rogers because they are my obsession. Then lastly I added a KJP red, white, and blue bracelet for an extra patriotic touch. Plus I am also obsessed with KJP.

Casual: There are a lot of people who are probably going to be on the beach, at the pool, or on a lake for the Fourth of July. So, this outfit is perfect to just throw on over a bathing suit! I am loving these super cute American flag running shorts! These are a huge trend it feels like and I love them. I paired the shorts with just a plain white tank (you could do red or blue too!) then a pair of white Keds and then a simple blue hair bow. If you are going for a preppy casual look this is your ideal 4th of July outfit.

OOTD: Mixing Prints

All mixed up!
For this work look I decided to mix it up a bit. And by that I mean mixing prints. Sometimes I am afraid to mix prints because some people are probably like what is that girl wearing?! But, I decided that this look gets the job done in a very subtle way. I paired a navy and white polka dot dress with this super fun white and navy striped scarf. By sticking in the same color family it makes the look less intimidating in my opinion. I paired the look with a nude sandal and simple gold accessories to complete the look.

What is your favorite way to mix prints? Let me know in the comments!
